Confidential

My picture!

Well… I think you might have noticed - at least 2 more posts on “confidential” stuff in the last weeks. But of course my work isnt over yet, I have some more plans, some more blogs, some work to do.

Let’s start, since this blog is in english, with our english blog. We have some new members who joined http://raisydaisy.pokerstrategy.com/ in the last days… and nice action with about 6 or 7 updates in the past few days. Thanks to our english head admin this blog was “pimped” and will be a benchmark for every blog on PokerStrategy.

We also have a new member on our spanish blog: We actually (we cause I am also blogging on http://secretos.pokerstrategy.com) started with coaches and admins and added the first member of the hispanic community - marcianoskate. We’ll keep on searching to make this blog even bigger and better.

Every community manager / head admin is searching for people who are interested in blogging. So again, if you like to blog and think your (poker)day is interesting enough to present it to “your” community just contact me or your head admin…

Last but not least I can proudly announce that there will be two completly new blogs in the next few days for our german community. Our first new blog is a big brag! Three members will talk about a funny subboard of the german forum. The second one will start a few days later… and I am pretty you’ll like it. Just check our news in the next days.

The blog-action is about to start...

I have done it! After hardly playing poker at all I started getting more and more into heads-up limit hold’em theory about 4 weeks ago and have finally started playing again myself a couple of days ago.

I have had great success at the limits 200/400 - 1000/2000. Sure, the sample size is not yet significant, but I do feel that I’m on top of my game and that I do have an edge against almost all opponents. Time will tell ;)

Anyways, one result of my recent playing spree is a video where I make more than $43000 in under 5 minutes. No significance whatsoever, but it is entertaining to watch (yes, and I do get lucky). Certainly, we used it to add some advertising for PokerStrategy, too. :)

We will introduce two new partner platforms in the next few days. After that you will be able to play on all major networks / platforms to earn your StrategyPoints or just to get a nice Sign-Up bonus. The new platforms are 888.com PacificPoker and Unibet (Microgaming Network). Look out for the news in the next days!

 Hi everybody!

It has been a long time since this blog was updated but I hope I can solve this “problem” – but first let me introduce myself.

I am Benido or Benny, became a member in april 2006 and play fixed limit most of the time. Because I lived in Chile for several months and also learned spanish in school and university I asked PokerStrategy to help them getting their spanish page going. I started as a mod, became fixed limit coach and was working for the last months as a kind of co-community manager for our hispanic community.

Even though I was allready working for PokerStrategy I felt like I still was playing to much poker and decided to add a new task to my daily schedule: I am going to manage our blogs.

You might know it, out german community was the first that started back in 2005 and for this reason we created our first blogs in german. Never the less I want to start at leat one blog for every community, the english and spanish are allready equiped with their own blog, but there’s still a lot of work to do to get a blog for every language. So if you think you should be a blog-member just leave a comment! :)

Beside I have some more new blogs I would like to launch in the future, some blogs might be changed a little – and you can help us to improve. You want a specific blog? You want a certain player or person to blog on PokerStrategy? What did you miss until now regarding our blogs? Please give us some feedback how we can improve our blogs.

See ya – and be sure this blog will be updated more often from now on ;)

Merry Christmas, my fellow PokerStrategists!

I have to apologize that neither I nor my co-bloggers Korn, Dami & Stefan wrote anything in the last two weeks. We remembered it a few times and at least Korn and I began to wrote a post but threw it away because we thought it was not worthwhile reading.  But maybe we should leave that decision up to you?

You may wonder about the title of this post: what king? What death? Well, the last few weeks were full of discussions about the future of poker. The UIGEA, WTO duels between the EU and Antigua vs USA, the seasonal winter boom, poker in asia, legal situation in Germany… many topics, many thoughts.

But in the end, what counts is sheer numbers, isn’t it? So lets look at that. Before the US markets were closed for most of the poker rooms in mid 2006, PartyPoker had its peak of players simultaneously playing at the real money tables of 16,960!

A long time has passed, and due to the US thingy, PartyPoker had to give the position as a market leader to PokerStars, who did not leave the homeland of poker. Last week, the number of real money players online at PokerStars topped 19,900 for some minutes! Most probably, as January to March are known to be the best months for online gambling, PokerStars will hit the magical mark of 20,000 online players in early January!

This is a small piece of information that sums up the development of the poker markets: it’s difficult, and there are people fighting against it, but still - growth! This is great news for us, because the winning players of PokerStrategy profit vastly from a growing poker market with growing numbers of customers for all of use. Fish on!
