I just announced that for the first time on our German news page: in the future, we will offer our community another option to take part in our success, growth & development. For open jobs where we desperately need new employees, we will offer $1,000 if you make one of your friends a PokerStrategy.com employee!

The first thing it's about is our IT department that urgently needs new web developers and web designers. The reason why we start only in German although being a Gibraltese company is that our current IT team still is 95% German and uses German as the daily language. But of course, we will never reject any good foreigners, as long as they speak English, which more and more becomes our most important company language due to us being so international.

And although the illustration makes it seems so: we don't think it is a kind of modern slave trade – it is just another win-win situation. And I'd rather give the money to you than to some professional head-hunting companies ;)

Although the overall ratio of our different user levels did not change too much, there is an interesting development in who posts how much on our 14 forums.

In the graph below you can clearly see an interesting development: Whilst until the beginning of the year, the bronze members were on just the same way up as all users in total, as a group they experienced a kind of activity downswing in the last months.

As the overall growth is still steady, this development is not that bad - especially since actively posting Silver or Gold Members often times contribute the forum on a higher level (in terms of poker skills).

What would you say why this is? Are the PokerStrategy.com forums not beginner friendly enough? Or do we just succeed in getting aligning forum activity to playing activity in a better proportion?

I forgot to add a time axis - but it ranges from January 2007 until 3 days ago. So you can imagine Januar 2008 at around 2/3 of the x axis.

It's amazing, 12 games left - just 12 games in the Euro 2008! And I am running so hot in our betting promotion - Not! Cry I actually regard myself as a fan, I saw every big championship since 1990, I was a and still am a big fan of Hamburg, I saw like 150 games live in some arenas all over Germay, I even was lucky enough to see the game Argentina vs. Ivory Coast back in 2006, but I really suck this time, 27 points until now. 20 games - 27 points, the best scorer allready has 46 points - mission impossible!? We'll see, but surely my bets have to improve a lot to attact the Top10.  If you're in a better position don't forget to place your (favorite=!?) results for the upcoming matches starting on thursday!

But beside I can also anounce a new blog coming up soon... I hope and think you will like it - even though in the beginning it might just be interesting for our german community since it will be german. One of our Community Manager publish a "trip report" in the last month and I really want him to participate in this blog cause his report was just great. Not just because what he wrote but how he wrote makes me think that it will be a nice new member for the german blogs.  On the other hand we will push some new foreign blogs in the next days aswell. "Behind the scene" is a good title, but it won't be in english... Peut-etre francais? My french su**s. I know there's a "^" missing right?! Whatever, it might be the french community, it might be any other, check our local dealer for more information! Wink

Good luck!

In the next days, we will reach another nice milestone – even though it has mere psychological but real value.

We will reach 30,000,000 page impressions over the last 30 days for the first time, an average of 1,000,000 page impressions every day!

Especially when looking back a year, this is an enormous development: we didn't even scratch 10,000,000 monthly page impressions back then. Besides reaching a broader audience, this development is also coming from what the average visitor does on our page. The average number of pages viewed per visit grew from 5.X to nearly 9 in May!

I hope that we can increase our quality and the attractiveness of our content and community further within the next months. I already teased a little about one of the exciting things to come, and can present a new screenshot of it:

One finished, you will finally be able to interact with your friends here on PokerStrategy.com – and not only with old-school private messages, but also with the nice comfy things we're nowaday used to as children of social networks.

If you wonder: the above title is just a variation of a line from the song Fire Water Burn by The Bloodhound Gang. For the first time in our history, PokerStrategy.com has a higher Alexa Traffic Rank than the big old poker forums twoplustwo.com.

This is quite a success if you consider that twoplustwo.com started in 2002, while we did in 2005 – plus that the US is the leading home market of poker, whilst our strongest languages like German, Russian, French, and Hungarian only began to feel a kind of poker boom in '06-'07.

If you click on this graph, you will get directly to this comparison at Alexa.com where you can play around or add a third poker website.

Add-on to my last blog post:
